ABOUT
Research in the Laboratory for Intelligent Mechanical Systems (LIMS) focuses on robotics, animal and human sensorimotor control, and topics at the intersection of these areas, including bio-inspired robotics, human-robot interaction, prosthetics, and haptic interfaces. LIMS is a collaboration among students and faculty in the Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering Departments, with strong ties to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) in neural engineering and human-robot systems, the Interdepartmental Neuroscience program, the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO), the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department, and other departments. LIMS provides a stimulating atmosphere encouraging research and innovation across disciplines. We invite you to learn more about our activities on our research page.
