Setting up printing for the Konica Copier
Listed below are instructions for setting up the Konica printer/copier in the ME office for use with Apple Macintoshes running 10.4, Tiger.
Start by downloading the drivers here. Expand the zip file.
Open the folder "13jedrmc131" and run the installer (KonicaPrinter.pkg). You should see the following screen:

When you are done installing the drivers, you should see the following screen:

Next, open any document and click print from the file menu. It will bring up a window which will let you select which printer you want to use. Choose "Add Printer" as shown below.

This will open "Printer Setup Utility" with the following (or a similar) window open. The information will be different. You need to type in the information so it looks the same as what you see here. Make sure you have "Line Printe Daemon - LPD" with an address of 129.105.69.70 with "Print Using" set to Konica and "Konica IP-511 PostScript" set.

Click "add". It will bring back the "Printer Setup Utility." Open "Show Printer List" from the "View" menu in "Printer Setup Utility" and you should see a similar window:

Highlight the Konica Printer and press "Show Info." This should bring up the "Printer Info." Go to "Installable Options" and make it look like this window. You can optionally change the name and location to make it easier to remember which printer this is. It will only affect you. (Note, you have have to restart to get the hole punch option to be available. If it is greyed out, restart and then come back and edit the info and make the window look like the following window.)

And you are done - the printer should work.
