Intelligent Geography Game
|
General Overview: The game was conceived as an entertaining way to help children who are just learning to read practice their reading skills. At the same time, it exposes them to the geographic layout of the United States. In its basic configuration the game displays the name of a state on the LCD and the child must press the state puzzle piece with the matching name, which is printed on the piece. If the child gets seven or more correct answers out of ten, a gumball is dispensed from a magazine. The gumball is allowed to follow one of two randomly chosen, (hopefully) entertaining paths both of which culminate in a tube that is lowered like a drawbridge, dropping the gumball into the expectant child's outstretched hand. |
