The teanie terror claw game is our version of the common crane skill arcade game. In its commercial implementation the user controls the x and y position of the claw with a joystick or four way control pad. After positioning the claw over a desired prize the user presses another button which activates the following sequence: the claw drops to the ground, closes, and is raised up again. The claw then returns to its home position and drops the prize (if it has been won) into the prize chute. Our goal was to mimic the commercial claw game but add to it some style of our own.

In our game the user positions the claw over a desired prize using two two-way switches to control motion in the x and y directions. After positioning the claw in the x-y plane the user trips a switch allowing the claw to fall to the floor. The user then flips another switch to close the claw, flips the toggle again to raise it and then must reposition the claw over the prize chute (located in the middle of the floor). This extra step was added to increase the skill necessary to win and to allow more interaction with the project. Finally, once the user has repositioned the claw over the prize chute he or she will open the claw to drop the prize.
