Welcome to the Wheel of Fortune!

You know the gameshow. Now here it is in Mechatronics form!
We wanted our Mechatronics project to be challenging, but most of all something that the user would have fun with. Creating a Wheel of Fortune game was the perfect match. In our game, the user can play just like on TV. The player first selects the power he or she wants the wheel to spin at. The wheel will then spin automatically due to a friction drive motor. The game then shows a "mystery word" on the LED screen and the player guesses letters that might be in the word, just like in the real game! If the letter is there, money corresponding to the prize wheel position is added to their bank account. But, unlike on TV, if they are wrong money is subtracted from the account. The game contains 20 programmed "mystery words," but the capacity is endless. Click on the above links to find out more details about our game.
